Semi-Automatic Bottle Depalletizer – Optimization of the Palletizing and Depalletizing Process

One of our recent projects involved the construction of a semi-automatic bottle depalletizer, designed to optimize the depalletizing process in a production plant.

The entire project began with a customer inquiry. The customer was looking for a solution to improve the transport and unloading of bottles delivered by an external supplier onto a glass decoration line. A limited budget was also an important factor.

The key requirements included minimizing the working space, maintaining the semi-automatic nature of the process due to the need for quality control by the operator, and focusing on high accuracy rather than maximum efficiency.

Until then, the process had been carried out manually, so reducing losses and rejects before the decoration stage was essential. In response, we designed a semi-automatic depalletizing system that met all assumptions and significantly improved the production process.

Key Design Assumptions

When designing the system, we took into account the customer’s most important requirements:

• compact design – the machine takes up minimal working space,
• semi-automatic mode – the operator monitors the quality of bottles before decoration,
• high operating precision – reduction of rejects before decoration,
• work ergonomics and safety,
• easy integration with the existing production line.

Thanks to this solution, the system not only improved the process but also increased operator comfort.

Implementation Results

The semi-automatic depalletizer designed and implemented by us:

• significantly improved bottle transport to the production line,
• reduced manual work,
• improved process quality thanks to operator control,
• reduced the number of damaged products and rejects,
• increased overall production efficiency.

The machine was fully installed and implemented into operation, becoming an integral part of the customer’s production line.
